Les has done a superlative job of narrating Don't Smile Till Easter into an audiobook: 9 hours of narration (87,000+ words). Characterization was always going to be important for me in the narration and Les accomplished this admirably. The audio files have been sent to the US distributor, so the process is hopefully near complete. When Les is ready, I'll be asking him to narrate my second novel, Measuring the Mountain, into an audio book.

It has been a huge pleasure to work with Les for the audio book of my biography, Mercedes Sosa – More than a Song. When I listened to a sample of Les’ narration, I had no doubt that he was the best match for this book. His voice is really pleasant listening to. There is so much passion and empathy in his voice. The intonation and breaks are perfect. The story became alive to me in a whole new way. The book had a lot of Spanish words and Les connected with a Spanish speaking person to get the pronunciation right. He has been 100% invested in the project. He is a professional and the recording is done professionally too. I hope to work with him again and I highly recommend him.

I am so incredibly glad I stumbled upon Les and asked him to narrate my Aussie hero in Wild about Denali. Not only did I love listening to every second that he brought my characters to life, but the files were so clean, I didn’t need him to fix anything. If you need a narrator from Australia, I’d recommend Les Horovitz in a heartbeat. In fact, I’m mulling over future books with Aussie heroes, just so I can get Les to narrate for me again.
